Three Generations by the Waterfront
It all began with a simple counter and a few terrace tables. Jo and Janine ran a small bar and snack café on Place Gambetta, living upstairs with their two children — in the very same rooms that today house our 10 hotel bedrooms.
In 2000, their daughter Nadine joined Janine and took over the family business alongside her. Year after year, the establishment grew with them: a dining room was added, then a second, then a third, followed by a terrace overlooking the ramparts, another facing the harbour, and finally the hotel. Nothing was rushed — each new chapter was given the time it needed. But the spirit of the place has never changed: home-style cooking, seasonal produce, and above all, the special bond we share with our guests. Many of them have been part of our story for years, sometimes even generations, and we welcome them like friends of the house rather than passing visitors.
For the past year, Mathieu, Louis and Martin — Nadine’s three children — have joined the family adventure in turn. And if this spirit continues to thrive today, it is also thanks to a team where many have grown alongside Janine, Jo and Nadine. Here, the table remains what it has always been: a place where everyone feels at home.
Brasserie with continuous service throughout the day
You can count on our brasserie 7 days a week, open from 7 am to 1 am, with continuous kitchen service from 12 pm to 11:30 pm. From breakfast to dinner, including lunch and those little cravings throughout the day, we work as much as possible with fresh produce sourced from local producers.
